Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 15, 2026
This policy covers two things: the CricPulse mobile app (Part 1) and this website, cricpulse.jathans.com (Part 2). They collect different data and are described separately.
Part 1 — The CricPulse App
This privacy policy applies to the CricPulse app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Prasanna Angara Jathan (hereby referred to as "Service Provider"). The Application is free to download and use, is supported by advertising, and offers an optional paid upgrade, CricPulse Pro. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. The categories below correspond to the data types disclosed on the Application's App Store and Google Play privacy listings.
- Contact Info — Your name and email address, if you create an account, sign in, or claim a player or team profile. Profiles claimed before October 2026 may also hold a phone number given at the time; new claims use email only.
- Identifiers — A unique User ID assigned to your account when you sign in; and your device's advertising identifier (Device ID), described in detail in the "Device Identifiers and Advertising Data" section below
- Purchases — If you buy CricPulse Pro, a record of the purchase (which plan, when, and whether it is active), described in the "CricPulse Pro and Purchases" section below
- Usage Data (Product Interaction) — The screens of the Application you visit, the features you use, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent in the Application
- Diagnostics — Crash reports, described in detail in the "Diagnostics" section below, and app performance data (such as launch and load times) collected by Google's Firebase and AdMob SDKs
- Coarse Location — An approximate location (country or region) that Google's Firebase Analytics and AdMob SDKs derive from your IP address, described below
- Other — Your device's IP address, the operating system you use, cricket match data you create (teams, players, scores, tournaments and venues), user, player, and team profile photos (optional, uploaded from your photo library or taken with your device's camera), and follow preferences (players, teams, or matches you follow)
The Application does not request precise location, asks for no location permission, and does not use GPS or any device location service. Google's SDKs derive an approximate location (country or region) from your IP address: Firebase Analytics uses it for aggregate usage reports, AdMob uses it to serve ads suited to your region, and Google's User Messaging Platform uses it to decide whether you are asked for advertising consent (for example, whether you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland). This approximate location is not linked to your account and is not used for personalized content or recommendations.
The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information and required notices.
For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to email, name, and photo. The information that the Service Provider requests will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.
CricPulse Pro and Purchases
CricPulse Pro is optional. It removes advertising and unlocks advanced statistics, and is sold as a monthly, six-monthly, or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Payment — Purchases are made and charged through Apple's App Store or Google Play, using the payment method on your store account. The Service Provider never receives or stores your card or bank details.
- Purchase status — The Application uses RevenueCat to confirm with Apple or Google whether you have an active Pro purchase. RevenueCat receives the store's purchase record and an identifier for you: your CricPulse User ID if you are signed in, or a random anonymous ID if you are not. This lets your purchase carry over when you sign in on another device or restore purchases.
- With Pro active — The Application loads no ads, shows no advertising consent form, and does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, so your advertising identifier is not accessed.
Without Pro, you can unlock advanced statistics for a limited time by choosing to watch a rewarded ad. That ad is served by AdMob under the same rules as the other ads described below.
Device Identifiers and Advertising Data
When advertising is enabled, the Application accesses your device's advertising identifier (on iOS, the IDFA; on Android, the Google Advertising ID) through Google AdMob. This identifier is the "Device ID" disclosed in the App Store privacy listing and is used for the following purposes:
- Personalized advertising — only with your consent, requested through Google's User Messaging Platform consent form where the law requires it (for example, in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland) and, on iOS, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt (see "iOS App Tracking Transparency" below)
- Ad delivery and frequency capping — to avoid showing you the same ad repeatedly
- Ad performance measurement — impressions, clicks, and conversions ("Advertising Data" in the App Store privacy listing)
If you do not give consent or tracking permission, AdMob serves only non-personalized ads and does not use your advertising identifier for cross-app or cross-site tracking. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time through your device's system settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising; Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Diagnostics
To find and fix bugs, the Application sends crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics. When the Application crashes, technical diagnostic information (stack traces, device model, operating system version, and app state at the time of the crash) is sent. Crash data is not linked to your personal identity, is used solely to maintain and improve the Application, and is not used for advertising or sold to third parties. You can turn crash reporting off in the Application's Privacy Settings.
Third Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:
- Google Play Services (Android)
- Apple Privacy Policy (iOS)
- AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform
- RevenueCat — confirms CricPulse Pro purchases
- Google Analytics for Firebase
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Expo
- Firebase Storage
- Firebase Authentication
- Firebase Firestore
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
Authentication
The Application offers multiple sign-in options:
- Guest Mode: Use the app without creating an account (data stored locally only)
- Email/Password: Create an account with your name, email address, and a password. Your name is shown on your profile and can be changed at any time.
- Google Sign-In: Authenticate using your Google account
- Sign in with Apple (iOS only): Authenticate using your Apple ID. Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your real email address. We only receive the name and email you choose to share. This data is managed by Firebase Authentication and Apple's authentication services.
Authentication data is managed by Firebase Authentication and follows Google's and Apple's privacy policies.
User-Created Content
The Application allows you to create and store cricket match data, including team names, player names, match statistics, and tournaments. This data is stored:
- Locally on your device by default for offline functionality
- In the cloud (Firebase) if you are signed in, or if you choose to sync or share matches
- Match data you share becomes publicly accessible via a unique link. When you score a match while signed in, your account name is shown on it as the scorer.
- Player and team profiles, including their statistics, achievements, and badges, can be viewed by other users of the Application
- You retain ownership of all cricket data you create
Profile Claiming and Verification
The Application allows cricket players and teams to claim their profiles:
- You provide an email address to claim a player or team profile
- Contact information becomes immutable after claiming for security purposes
- Claimed profiles can be linked to your user account
- One user account can link to one player profile OR one team profile (not both)
- Profile photos — for your account, players, and teams — are optional, can be uploaded from your photo library or taken with your device's camera, and are stored via Firebase Storage
Support Contacts
If you contact support by email, phone, or WhatsApp, the Service Provider receives your email address or phone number and what you send, and uses them only to reply to you. WhatsApp messages are handled under WhatsApp's privacy policy. The Application pre-fills the first message with the app's name, platform, and version, so the Service Provider can help you faster; you can edit it before sending.
Your Choices and Opt-Out Rights
You have several ways to control what information the Application collects and how it is used:
- Analytics and crash reporting — Both are on by default. You can turn either off at any time in the Application's Privacy Settings. In the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics is also turned off if you decline the consent form.
- Advertising consent — Where the law requires it, you can review or change the choice you made on Google's consent form from Ad preferences in the Application's Privacy Settings.
- Tracking and personalized ads — On iOS, you can deny the App Tracking Transparency prompt or change your choice later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, you can manage ads personalization in Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- No ads at all — With CricPulse Pro, the Application loads no ads.
- Account deletion — You can delete your account and associated data at any time from the Application's profile settings or by emailing jathanscreatives@gmail.com. Deleting your account does not cancel a CricPulse Pro subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
- Match data deletion — Individual matches and profiles can be deleted at any time within the app.
- Stop all collection — You can stop all data collection by the Application by uninstalling it through your device's standard uninstall process.
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain data as follows:
- Match Data: Retained as long as you use the Application or until you delete specific matches
- Profile Data: Retained while your account is active and deleted soon after account deletion
- Local Data: Cleared automatically when you logout (for authenticated users only)
- Consent Choices: Kept on your device until you change them or uninstall the Application
- Purchase Records: Kept by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat for as long as needed to provide CricPulse Pro and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
If you'd like to delete your data, please contact us at jathanscreatives@gmail.com or use the in-app privacy settings to manage your data.
Children
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (jathanscreatives@gmail.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
iOS App Tracking Transparency
On iOS devices, the Application uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework in connection with AdMob advertising. Before any cross-app or cross-site tracking data is accessed, the Application will ask for your permission via the iOS tracking prompt:
- If you allow tracking, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show personalized ads based on your activity across apps and websites owned by other companies.
- If you deny tracking, only non-personalized ads will be shown. No advertising identifier is accessed.
CricPulse Pro users are not shown this prompt, because the Application loads no ads for them. You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
GDPR Compliance
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the Application complies with GDPR requirements:
- Consent: Advertising consent is asked through Google's consent form, and you can change it later from Ad preferences. Analytics and crash reporting each have their own switch in the app's Privacy Settings.
- Right to Access: You can view all your stored data in the app
- Right to Deletion: You can delete matches, profiles, or your entire account
- Right to Portability: Export match data as PDF scorecards
- Data Minimization: We only collect data necessary for app functionality
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
Your Consent
By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.

Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-10-15
Part 2 — This Website
This section covers cricpulse.jathans.com — the marketing pages, cricket calculators, blog, and match, player, team, and tournament link pages. It does not require an account, and it collects no cricket data.
Who is responsible
The data controller for this website is Prasanna Angara Jathan, contactable at jathanscreatives@gmail.com.
What the website collects
If — and only if — you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools are useful. Google Analytics processes:
- Your IP address (used by Google to derive an approximate location, and not stored by us)
- A randomly generated client identifier stored in the
_gacookie - The pages you view, when, and for how long
- Your browser, operating system, device type, and referring site
Until you accept, none of this happens. Google Analytics is not loaded at all before you choose, so no data is sent to Google and no analytics cookie is set. If you reject, it is never loaded.
We do not run advertising on this website, we do not track you across other sites, and we do not sell or share personal information. Fonts are served from our own servers rather than a third-party CDN, so no request is made to Google to render the page.
If you use the WhatsApp button, WhatsApp opens with a pre-filled message that says it came from the website and includes the address of the page you were on. Nothing is sent until you press send. If you do, we receive your phone number and your message, and use them only to reply to you. WhatsApp handles the chat under its own privacy policy.
Full details of what is stored, and for how long, are in the Cookie Policy.
Legal basis
We rely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR for website analytics. Consent is optional, and refusing it does not restrict any part of the site. You can withdraw it at any time — as easily as you gave it — by selecting Cookie settings in the footer of any page. Withdrawal takes effect immediately but does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew.
International transfers
Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC in the United States. Where analytics data is transferred outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the transfer relies on Google's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long website data is kept
- Google Analytics data — retained for 14 months, then deleted automatically by Google
- Your consent choice — kept in your own browser for 12 months, after which we ask again
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format (Articles 15–21 GDPR). Comparable rights apply under Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA, India's DPDP Act, and US state privacy laws. To exercise any of them, email jathanscreatives@gmail.com.
The simplest way to stop website analytics entirely is to select Cookie settings in the footer and choose Reject.
Complaints
If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EEA it is the authority in your country of residence.
